Bahaman Swimming Pigs

If this happened at Lake Bridgeport they wouldn't survive!

Family vacation in March. Staniel Cay, Bahamas - pigs would swim out around the boats begging for food. I saw some swim for over an hour straight before they would head to shore for a rest.

Kill Shot By Poacher Caught On Camera

"Here is a picture of a spike buck that a trail cam took a picture of just as someone shot it, we think maybe out of the blind in the background.
It is my daughter Dena's stand and nobody was supposed to be hunting it."

He Should Stick To Golfing!

They sure make it look easy on TV... but this guy didn't watch enough of Steve Irwin I'm guessing!

Just A Lion In The Cooler!

A friend of mine sent me these pics of a mountain lion they had on there place in South Texas this last Thanksgiving. He wasn't the one who shot it, but said the guy was in his old stand when he did. I don't know if I'll ever have a shot at one of these here in Wise County, but I can keep my hopes up...

It's Legal to Kill Bigfoot in Texas!

I came across this article on twitter and thought it was kind of strange, but informative...you never know!

“If Bigfoot did exist, and wasn’t human, then it would [be legal]. Bigfoot would be a non-protected wild animal,” L. David Sinclair with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department tells StateImpact Texas.

So, yes, it would be legal to kill Bigfoot in Texas. “It’s right out of the law book,” Sinclair says.

EDIT:  I don't really care what the law would be on this... if there was a 6 - 7 ft. wooly brown looking bohemoth in the woods before dark and I was in my stand having to walk back to the truck at dark... I would smoke it before I had to find it alone in the dark! Bears wouldn't be the only ones Sh*****g in the woods...

No Soliciting...Anymore!

Do the guys that sell steaks and meat ever just come up knocking on your door?  I have bought from them a time or two just cause I thought they were decent priced, but I really didn't like the quality of the meat.  The thing is, they remember you and keep knocking on my door no matter how many times I tell them no... I think this guy finally got tired of it!

North Texas Hunter's Trading Post on Facebook

I've had this on my facebook a while but kind of forgot about it.  It's a Facebook page for North Texas that is kind of used as a classifieds section.  You have to ask to be apart of the group, but it is definetly worth it if you're looking to sell or buy any guns or hunting equipment.

Coyote Bluff!

For all the turkey hunters out there...

Coyote lunges for turkey on opening day, bites a hunter instead

MACHIAS, Maine — Opening day of turkey season turned out to be a bit more than Bill Robinson had in mind Monday when he set out his decoy at dawn’s first light.

“I’ll never forget looking up and seeing a jaw full of teeth coming at me,” Robinson said Tuesday, the day after being attacked and bitten on the right arm by a coyote. The wild canine sprang while the Maine Guide was hunkered down in the brush, using a mouth-call to lure a turkey into the open while hunting on private property near the Washington County community of Cooper.

Can't go wrong with 20 year old coveralls... It still works!

Banded.com

Today is the grand opening for a new brand of waterfowl hunting clothing/gear and accessories. Some of there stuff looks pretty awesome. I'm going to have to try out some of there gear before I can really tell how good it is, but the look they have is great!  They also have come out with a two man layout blind that I have never seen before. I think I'll go ahead and get one of there hats for now...
